The journey of the Traveler across seven nations
โฆ The Traveler's Journey โฆ
In a world called Teyvat, the Traveler โ a being from beyond the stars โ awakens after a catastrophic encounter with an unknown god. Their twin sibling has been taken, and the Traveler is left alone in a strange land.
Guided by the mysterious Paimon, the Traveler embarks on a journey across the seven nations, each ruled by an Archon who governs one of the seven elements. Along the way, they uncover the secrets of the Abyss, the Fatui, and the ancient cataclysm that changed Teyvat forever.
This is the story of the Traveler's search for their lost sibling โ and the truth of this world.
The Traveler arrives in Teyvat and meets Paimon. Together, they arrive in Mondstadt, the nation of freedom. There, they encounter the corrupt dragon Stormterror (Dvalin) and join forces with the Knights of Favonius.
With the help of the tone-deaf bard Venti โ who is secretly the Anemo Archon โ the Traveler helps purify Dvalin and save Mondstadt from the Abyss Order. In the process, they learn that the Abyss Order seeks to destroy the nations of Teyvat.
The Traveler heads to Liyue, the nation of contracts. During the Rite of Descension, the Geo Archon Rex Lapis (Zhongli) is seemingly assassinated.
The Traveler becomes entangled in a conspiracy involving the Fatui, the Qixing, and the ancient god Osial. In the climax, they help the people of Liyue defend the harbor from Osial, proving that humanity can protect itself without the guidance of an Archon.
The Traveler journeys to Inazuma, a nation isolated by thunderstorms. The Raiden Shogun, the Electro Archon, has enacted a Vision Hunt Decree, seizing the ambitions of her people in pursuit of "eternity."
The Traveler joins the resistance and faces the Raiden Shogun in a climactic duel. With the support of her people and the revelation of her true self, the Shogun (Ei) decides to change her ideals, ending the decree and opening Inazuma to the world.
The Traveler arrives in Sumeru, the nation of wisdom, ruled by the Dendro Archon. The Akademiya suppresses dreams and knowledge, and the Archon Nahida is imprisoned within her own sanctuary.
With the help of the desert wanderers and the people of Sumeru, the Traveler confronts the corrupt sages and rescues Nahida. They also confront the Doctor (Il Dottore) of the Fatui and uncover the truth about the Irminsul tree and the history of Teyvat.
In Fontaine, the nation of justice, the Traveler finds a society obsessed with law and drama. The Hydro Archon Furina is the star of the opera, but beneath the surface lies a prophecy that threatens to flood the entire nation.
The Traveler uncovers the truth about the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale, the history of the Hydro Archon, and the primordial sea. In a grand trial, the people of Fontaine are saved, and the Archon reveals her true nature.
The Traveler's journey continues toward Natlan, the nation of war, ruled by the Pyro Archon. This land of dragons and warriors holds secrets about the ancient dragon civilization and the origin of the elements.
